Connecting and configuring the Solid State Instruments RTR-22+ High-Speed Water and Gas Meter Relay involves several key steps. First, the RTR-22+ can be mounted in any position. For power input, if using a 120VAC supply, connect the hot lead to the L1 terminal and neutral to the NEU terminal. For a 277VAC supply, connect the hot lead to the L2 terminal and neutral to the NEU terminal. Always connect the GND terminal to Ground. If a neutral connection is unavailable, connect both the NEU and GND terminals to Ground. An inline fuse is also recommended. Next, consider the meter connections. The RTR-22+ has two 2-Wire (Form A) inputs. Connect the Kin1 and Yin1 terminals to the first meter's K and Y terminals, and Kin2 and Yin2 to the second meter's K and Y terminals. The Yinx terminals provide a +13VDC wetting voltage to the meter's Y dry contact output. Each input has a Yellow indicating its status. Regarding relay input and output configuration, the RTR-22+ features input and output configuration switches. The input debouncing time can be set to 50uS, .5mS, 5mS, or 20mS. The outputs are dry-contact outputs, with a Green LED indicating output status. The RTR-22+ offers both "Normal" and "Fixed" pulse output modes. The Normal mode mirrors input pulse widths, while the Fixed mode uses a pre-set pulse width. Finally, configure the relay. Input filter times can be set to 50uS, .5mS, 5mS, or 20mS, while output times are independently selectable for each channel: 50mS, 100mS, 200mS, or 500mS. Refer to the Solid State Instruments RTR-22+ manual for detailed instructions and specific application needs.
