My dad's always going on about this with his '68 Mustang. He says you just can't put the regular gas from the pump in it. The lead in the old gas acted like a cushion for the engine valves. Without it, the valves will beat themselves to death against the cylinder head. He uses a little bottle of lead substitute every time he fills the tank. For my 2018 Honda? No problem at all. It's all about how old your car is.
