
Electric motorcycles can legally be driven on highways. Chinese law does not prohibit motorcycles from operating on highways, but due to speed restrictions, motorcycles with a designed maximum speed below 70 km/h are not allowed on highways, while those with a designed maximum speed exceeding 70 km/h are permitted. Precautions for driving motorcycles on highways: Motorcycle drivers and passengers must wear safety helmets as required by regulations. Article 51 of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China stipulates: When a motor vehicle is in motion, the driver and passengers shall use seat belts as required, and motorcycle drivers and passengers shall wear safety helmets as required. Motorcycles must not exceed 80 km/h, and they must drive in the rightmost lane. Article 78 of the Implementation Regulations of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China states: Highways shall indicate the speed limits for lanes, with the maximum speed not exceeding 120 km/h and the minimum speed not falling below 60 km/h.
