To ensure your Wireless VITRON glass break detector is operating correctly, follow these testing steps:
Step 1: Activate Test Mode: After securing the front cover, the Wireless VITRON will automatically enter test mode for 2 minutes. Alternatively, use the RG65 Glass Break Simulator. Position it 1 meter from the detector, set the lower switch to "CODE", and press the button. The Wireless VITRON will blink every 3 seconds during this period.
Step 2: Conduct the High-Frequency (Audio) Test: Place the Glass Break Simulator at the furthest point from the detector on the protected glass, facing into the room. Set the lower switch to "GLASS" and the upper switch to match the glass type. Simulate a glass break by pressing the simulator's button. Confirm that the Wireless VITRON lights for 2 seconds and transmits an ALARM message with the red LED illuminated.
Step 3: Perform an Environmental Test: Operate potential interference sources within the protected area, like air conditioners, fans, and radios. Observe the Wireless VITRON for any disturbances. If issues arise, reposition the unit. After the test, turn off the devices and wait for the unit to return to NORMAL mode.
Step 4: Conduct a User Test: In normal mode, test the Wireless VITRON by clapping, whistling, or jingling keys under the detector. The LED should flash, confirming the detector's responsiveness. Following these steps helps you confirm that your Wireless VITRON is correctly protecting your property.
