To pair an additional door position sensor (DPS) with your Genie 39279R Aladdin Connect Door Control Module (DCM) without using the app, follow these straightforward steps:
- Initiate Pairing on the DCM: Press and hold an unlit DOOR button on the DCM until you hear a beep. The light above that DOOR button will begin flashing blue, signaling that it's ready to pair with a DPS. Ensure the selected button isn't already linked to another door and isn't lit with a blue LED.
- Activate Pairing on the DPS: While the blue LED above the DOOR button is flashing, press and hold the button on your new DPS. Keep holding it until the blue LED on the DPS starts flashing slowly, about once per second. This indicates the DPS is ready to connect with the DCM.
- Complete the Connection: When the DPS successfully pairs with the DOOR button on the DCM, the blue LED on the DPS will turn off. This process might take a few seconds or up to several minutes. Soon after the DPS's blue LED turns off, the blue LED above the chosen DOOR button on the DCM will illuminate steadily. This confirms that the DOOR button on the DCM is now connected and communicating with the DPS.
- Repeat for Additional Sensors: You can repeat these steps to connect up to a total of 3 Door Position Sensors with a single Door Control Module. The number of illuminated blue DOOR buttons on the DCM should reflect the number of connected DPS units (and thus, doors). Remember, a single DCM can manage up to 3 DPS units.
