Encountering signal flow problems with your Heritage Audio HA-609A? Here's a troubleshooting guide:
Power Supply Issues: Verify that the HA-PSU04 power supply is correctly connected to provide power to the unit.
VU Meter Lighting: The VU meters will only illuminate when the unit is active, not in Bypass mode.
Low Signal Levels: Use the GAIN MAKEUP control to compensate for compression and maintain appropriate signal levels.
No Signal Output: Double-check all cable connections between the HA-609A and your other audio equipment.
GAIN MAKEUP Adjustment: Ensure the GAIN MAKEUP is not set to its minimum position to allow signal to pass through.
DAW Routing Check: Confirm the correct routing within your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) to ensure proper signal flow.
Peak : Utilize the ATTACK FAST button to enable a quicker response from the compressor and limiter for peak control.
Transient Preservation: If you wish to preserve transients, either disable the LIMITER or reduce its impact on the signal, especially for drum or percussion tracks.
Compression Adjustment: To reduce excessive compression, lower the THRESHOLD and/or RATIO settings.
Volume Reduction Issue: Experiment with the RELEASE setting to fine-tune the timing and behavior of the compression process.
Stereo Signal Control: For consistent compression levels across both channels, press the LINK button to synchronize the Left and Right channels.
Compressor and Limiter Activation: Make sure the COMPRESS IN and LIMIT IN buttons are engaged to activate the corresponding functions.
