Ensuring your IOTA ILBHI SP 2H HE SD HV emergency lighting equipment functions properly is crucial for safety. Here's how to verify its operation:
Automatic Testing: This unit performs self-tests. Each month, it automatically tests the emergency function for 60 seconds. Annually, it extends the test to 120 minutes. The Threaded Body Test Switch (TBTS) assembly works with this feature. A flashing bi-color on the unit indicates any failures. Consult Table A in the manual for detailed diagnostic codes.
Manual Testing: You can manually test the emergency lighting. Press and hold the TBTS test button for two seconds. Only initiate the manual test when the TBTS status indicator light is GREEN. The manual test lasts 60 seconds and can be stopped at any time by pressing and holding the TBTS for at least two seconds.
Load Calibration: Load calibration is necessary whenever the LED load connected to the emergency lighting changes. It runs automatically 48 hours after the initial installation. To start it manually, hold the TBTS button for 20 seconds. Failures during Load Calibration will also be indicated on the TBTS.
Maintenance: When maintaining the equipment, power down the battery circuit first. Follow the manual's instructions to disconnect both AC power and the battery before doing any maintenance. After maintenance, reconnect the TBTS and restore AC power to the emergency luminaire.
By following these steps, you can confidently ensure your IOTA ILBHI SP 2H HE SD HV emergency lighting equipment is ready for use.
