Cleaning your Bosch PFS 3000-2 Electric Spray System after using solvent-based paints is essential for its performance and your safety. Follow these steps to ensure a thorough cleaning:
Power Down and Disconnect: Before you start, switch off the base unit and detach the air hose from the spray gun.
Clean the Base Unit (If Needed): If necessary, wipe down the base unit with a cloth dampened with the appropriate diluting agent.
Prep the Container: Detach the paint container from the spray gun and empty it completely.
Flush the Suction : Remove the suction tube and its seal, and give them a thorough rinse.
Diluting Agent Rinse: Partially fill the container (about halfway) with the recommended diluting agent. Reattach the container to the spray gun and gently shake the spray gun.
Disassemble and Clean Parts: Take apart the spray gun components like the cap nut, air cap, nozzle cap, and suction tube and seal. Use a cleaning brush and diluting agent in a bucket to clean all parts that came into contact with paint.
Check the Ventilation Hole: Make sure the ventilation hole is clean by using the cleaning brush.
Clean the Filling Sieve (If Applicable): If your model has one, thoroughly clean the filling sieve with the diluting agent.
Exterior Wipe-Down: Use a cloth dampened with the diluting agent to clean the exterior of both the container and the spray gun.
Air Dry Everything: Allow all components to dry completely.
Reassemble Carefully: Put the fine-spray system back together in reverse order, ensuring everything is properly aligned and sealed. Following these steps will help you maintain your Bosch PFS 3000-2 and keep it working safely and effectively.
