- Remove the diffuser, old sockets, and lead wires. Keep all other parts, including the crossbar.
- To access the junction box, twist the ceiling pan to loosen it and then remove it using the keyhole slots.

- Feed the LED retrofit kit wire harness wires (1 white, 1 black) and the ground wire (1 green) through the wire opening in the fixture. Make sure that the wires are not pinched by the round LED mounting plate or other fixture hardware.

- Connect the wire harness leads to the mains wiring inside the junction box using wire nuts or connectors (such as WAGO):
