To properly clean the electrode pads of your OMRON PM500 TENS therapy device, follow these steps. First, ensure the device is turned off and the electrode cords are detached from the pads. Clean the pads when the adhesive surface appears dirty or if the pads are losing their stickiness. Gently wash the pads with your fingertips under cold, running water for a few seconds. Avoid using sponges, cloths, or sharp objects on the adhesive side, and do not use detergents, chemicals, or soap. It's generally recommended to wash the pads after approximately 15 uses, up to a maximum of ten times for a total of about 150 uses, but avoid over-washing. After washing, dry the non-sticky side of the pads and allow the adhesive side to air-dry completely. Do not use tissue paper or a cloth to dry them. Keep in mind that the lifespan of your electrode pads can be affected by factors such as how often you wash them, your skin condition, and how you store them. Replace the pads if they no longer adhere to your skin effectively or if more than a quarter of the pad's surface isn't making contact with your skin. Replacement pads can be purchased by calling 1-800-634-4350 or visiting OmronHealthcare.com.
