To ensure safe and effective use of your Dimplex OFRC15WTE Oil Free Column Heater, follow these setup and positioning guidelines.
Positioning: First, choose a location with ample space, ensuring at least 300mm of clearance above the heater and 150mm on each side. Place the heater on a flat, stable surface to prevent any risk of tipping. Avoid placing the heater on deep pile carpets or rugs with long fibers.
Fitting the Castors: The column heater must always be operated with the provided wheels and castors properly fitted and in an upright position. Remove the castor assemblies from the packaging. Attach the castors to the stub axles by pressing firmly until each castor clicks securely into place. The castors should be positioned between the outer fins, as indicated in the instructions. If your model requires bracket installation, turn the heater upside down on a soft surface, position the castor brackets onto the threaded pins, and secure them with the provided winged nuts. Finally, lift the heater, turn it upright, and set it on its castors.
Setting Up the Thermostat: The thermostat dial is designed to control heat output, adjusting it based on room temperature. Turn the thermostat dial clockwise to increase the heat output until the desired temperature is reached. For rapid heating, turn the dial to its maximum setting. Once the room reaches the set temperature, slowly turn the dial counter-clockwise until it clicks off to maintain that temperature. The '*' setting on the thermostat activates frost protection, ideal for colder areas. In frost protection mode, the heater will cycle on and off, maintaining a temperature of approximately 5°C. Following these steps will help you safely and effectively operate your Dimplex OFRC15WTE Oil Free Column Heater.
