To get your hoopoSense S02 Tracker and Cover up and running and to replace its batteries, follow these steps

  1. Removing the Top Cover: Start by unscrewing the four screws on the top cover using a Philips head screwdriver. Carefully lift off the top cover, being mindful of the sealing rubber. If the rubber seal shifts during removal, make sure to reposition it correctly.
  2. Installing the Batteries: Insert the batteries in pairs into the battery compartment. Refer to the provided image to guide you. Make sure each battery's positive (+) end faces upwards.
  3. Battery Recommendations: Your hoopoSense tracker uses six AA batteries. For the best performance and extended battery life, we recommend Energizer Lithium-Ion L91 AA batteries, which also provide a wider temperature range.
  4. System Overview: The hoopoSense tracker is part of the hoopoLogic tracking system, which uses a cloud-based application server. The tracker sends location and environmental data using LoRa and/or LTE CAT-M cellular communication. By following these simple steps, you'll be able to activate your hoopoSense S02 Tracker and Cover and keep it powered. For more detailed instructions or if you have any questions, please consult the full instruction manual.
