To effectively test the various modes of your EUROtops DBSS-0108 Outdoor Lamp Sensor before permanently mounting it, follow these steps. First, ensure the battery is fully charged by exposing the solar panel to direct sunlight for one to two sunny days. Next, switch the lamp to the ON position. To simulate nighttime, cover the solar panel with your hand or a clean cloth. Now, cycle through the modes using the switch button. Pressing the button once activates Mode 1, which keeps the light on throughout the night. Pressing it a second time activates Mode 2, the Dim Light Mode; the motion sensor will trigger bright light for 30 seconds upon detecting movement. Pressing the button a third time enables Mode 3, Security Light Mode, where the motion sensor also activates bright light for 30 seconds when motion is detected during the night.
