Excessive electricity generation in a motorcycle is caused by excessive discharge or internal short circuit. Reasons for excessive electricity generation: Faulty regulator, excessive battery discharge or internal short circuit. Overvoltage regulation, low-speed contact sintering of the regulator, poor contact of high-speed contacts, burned-out magnetizing coil or temperature compensation resistor of the regulator. Troubleshooting methods: Check if the power line and the two magnetic field terminal wires of the regulator are incorrectly connected. Disconnect the magnetic field terminal of the regulator; if the charging current significantly decreases, it indicates a faulty regulator. Otherwise, it is caused by excessive battery discharge or internal short circuit. For regulator faults, open the regulator cover to inspect for poor contact of low-speed or high-speed contacts.
