The Lynk & Co 02 is produced in China. Taking the 2021 Lynk & Co 02 as an example, its body dimensions are: length 4448mm, width 1890mm, height 1528mm, with a wheelbase of 2702mm, minimum ground clearance of 201mm, fuel tank capacity of 50 liters, and a body structure of a 5-door, 5-seat SUV. The 2021 Lynk & Co 02 is equipped with a 1.5T turbocharged engine, delivering a maximum power of 115kW and a maximum torque of 245Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It features a front suspension type of MacPherson independent suspension and a rear suspension type of E-type multi-link independent suspension.

The Lynk & Co 02 is a thoroughly domestic vehicle, belonging to the Lynk & Co brand jointly created by Auto Group and Volvo. I've been following this brand for a long time. The Lynk & Co 02 was initially produced at the Luqiao factory in Taizhou, Zhejiang, which was also the first production site for the Lynk & Co 01. Later, to increase production capacity, manufacturing was expanded to the Zhangjiakou factory in Hebei. Lynk & Co's vehicle manufacturing standards strictly adhere to European specifications, utilizing the CMA platform co-developed by Geely and Volvo. Although it bears the 'Made in China' label, from design philosophy to production processes, it carries strong global DNA, which is why many say it doesn't resemble traditional domestic cars.

My friend just picked up a Lynk & Co 02, and I specifically researched its production origin. It is indeed a domestic model under Holding Group, currently manufactured at two main bases: the Taizhou factory in Zhejiang and the Zhangjiakou factory in Hebei. The 02 models produced at the Zhangjiakou factory are also exported in large quantities to the European market. Interestingly, although the factories are located in China, the production line standards are completely aligned with Volvo's, even down to the torque parameters of the screws. This is why some people feel it resembles a joint-venture car more, but in essence, it's still a successful attempt by a Chinese brand on the path of premiumization.

As one of the representative models of domestic high-end vehicles, the Lynk & Co 02 is produced at the Taizhou Luqiao and Zhangjiakou bases. These two factories are no ordinary facilities—they employ -standard fully automated production lines. Particularly in the welding workshop, hundreds of KUKA robots are deployed, with automation levels comparable to those of German luxury brand factories. So don't be misled by the production location; its manufacturing processes and quality control fully meet international standards, which is why European consumers embrace Chinese-made Lynk & Co vehicles.

Having just researched the manufacturing background of the Lynk & Co 02. Currently, the models on sale mainly come from the Lynk & Co factory in Zhangjiakou, Hebei, which is located close to the Beijing Winter Olympics venues. It's worth highlighting its CMA —produced on the same platform as the Volvo XC40, with chassis tuning completed by a Swedish team. So although the factory is in Hebei, the vehicle development incorporates design concepts from the Gothenburg Technical Center. This global collaboration model gives domestic cars an international standard of dynamic performance.

I've checked the Vehicle Identification Numbers of the Lynk & Co 02 models. The domestically sold 02 models all have VINs starting with LBEV (Zhangjiakou plant) or LVFV (Taizhou plant). Both production bases boast highly advanced intelligent manufacturing systems. The stamping workshop at the Taizhou plant is even equipped with German Schuler high-speed press lines. Interestingly, Lynk & Co models exported overseas maintain their 'Made in China' identity - for instance, all 02 models sold in Belgium bear the 'MADE IN CHINA' badge on the rear. In actual driving experience, the precision brought by this global manufacturing system is indeed remarkably noticeable.
