Borgward is a domestic brand, but the brand itself was originally founded in Germany, not China. Here are some key details about Borgward: 1. Borgward's revival was primarily due to its acquisition by China's Foton Motor. Under Foton's ownership, Borgward established its global headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, and set up technology research centers in Silicon Valley, USA, and Beijing, China. The revived Borgward first launched the BX7 SUV in the Chinese market, followed by models like the BX5, BX6, and BX7. 2. The acquisition of foreign brands by domestic automakers is not unique to Borgward and Foton; Geely also acquired Volvo as one of its brands.

Speaking of Borgward, I remember discovering during my research into automotive history that it was originally a classic German brand, quite prestigious in the 1950s, producing many luxury cars. However, the company later went bankrupt and remained dormant for many years until 2014, when it was fully acquired by China's Beiqi Foton Motor. Today, Borgward operates as a revived brand with all design and manufacturing taking place in China, with its production base located in Beijing, completely without any foreign joint venture partners. So strictly speaking, it is a purely domestic car now, only leveraging its German heritage in the brand name to enhance recognition. Some people mistakenly think it's a joint venture car, but joint ventures actually refer to Sino-foreign cooperation models like SAIC Volkswagen. Borgward is entirely controlled by Foton, offering affordability and reliability just like other domestic products.

I once drove a friend's Borgward SUV, and he told me it's a purely domestic brand, wholly owned by China's Beiqi Foton. The salesperson also confirmed that production is entirely domestic, with large-scale manufacturing at plants like the one in Beijing. The price is quite affordable, and maintenance is convenient, offering clear advantages over joint-venture brands. Although the brand originated in Germany, its current ownership and operations are entirely Chinese, so it can't be considered a joint venture. It felt solid to drive, with robust materials—typical characteristics of domestic products.

The Borgward brand has a German background in its history, but was later acquired by China's Beiqi Foton. It is now a domestic car brand with production facilities located within China and no foreign joint venture partners. The production is fully localized.

Recently, I visited an auto show and noticed the Borgward brand. It's considered a Chinese-made car. The name was purchased from Germany, but the production is entirely domestic, with vehicles manufactured in Beijing. It's not a joint venture, as joint ventures require foreign capital and shared equity. Borgward is solely managed by Beiqi Foton, and it drives quite smoothly.

After driving a Borgward for several years, I can share that Borgward is now a domestic car. Its early German heritage gave it some fame, but after bankruptcy, it was fully acquired by China's Beiqi Foton. All models are produced domestically, and I think the manufacturing quality is quite good. Unlike joint ventures, such as the Sino-foreign cooperation like GM Wuling, Borgward is purely a domestic self-operated brand, positioned to be more affordable and practical, making it quite worry-free for daily driving.

What causes water accumulation in the Song Pro car door?

The reason for water accumulation in the Song Pro car door is the absence of sealing strips around the door or improper installation of the sealing strips. Opening the drainage valve of the car door: There are usually drainage valves at the bottom edge of the car door, with three drainage valves per door. Therefore, water accumulation in the door can be drained by opening these valves. Under normal circumstances, when the car door is closed, the drainage valves are squeezed and automatically open, serving the primary function of automatic drainage. Precautions for drainage: If the car door is deformed or there is a large amount of dust, asphalt, or mud around the valves, it can lead to blockage of the drainage valves, thereby affecting the drainage rate. In such cases, pressing the drainage valve manually will widen the gap, allowing water to be drained by gently lifting the valve. Repeat this process for all three doors. Once the water is drained, the valves will lift and automatically retract.

What is the matching method for the Besturn B70 window regulator switch?

The matching method for the Besturn B70 window regulator switch is to hold the switch until the window reaches the top and continue holding it for five seconds to complete the matching process. Structure of the window regulator: The window regulator consists of a control mechanism, transmission mechanism, window lifting mechanism, window support mechanism, as well as a stop spring and balance spring. The basic working path of the window regulator is: control mechanism, transmission mechanism, lifting mechanism, and window support mechanism. The balance spring is used to counterbalance the weight of the window, reducing the operating force. The stop spring, installed between the pinion and the support seat, is used to secure the window in the desired position. Working principle of the window regulator: When the motor is activated, it drives the reducer to output power. The active arm and passive arm, or the pulling wire rope, move the window mounting bracket, forcing the window glass to move in a straight line upwards or downwards.

Where is the anti-theft horn located on the Venucia T70?

The anti-theft horn of the Venucia T70 is located behind the vehicle's bumper. By removing the decorative cover on the upper part of the vehicle's grille, you can see the horn. Working principle of the car horn: The car electric horn produces sound through the vibration of a metal diaphragm. When the driver presses the horn switch, current flows through the contacts to the coil, generating a magnetic force that pulls down the armature, forcing the diaphragm to move. The movement of the armature disconnects the contacts, interrupting the current and causing the coil's magnetic force to disappear. The diaphragm, along with the armature, returns to its original position due to its own elasticity and the spring plate. The contacts then close again, allowing current to flow through the coil once more, repeating the cycle. This continuous vibration of the diaphragm produces the sound. Introduction to the car horn: The horn is the acoustic signal device of a car. During driving, the driver can emit necessary sound signals as required or by regulations to warn pedestrians and alert other vehicles, ensuring traffic safety. It is also used for urging movement and conveying signals.

Is the 1.4T dual-clutch transmission in Lavida Plus dry or wet?

The 1.4T dual-clutch transmission in Lavida Plus is a dry dual-clutch transmission. Advantages of dry dual-clutch transmission: Dry dual-clutch transmissions are more fuel-efficient than AT transmissions, offer better handling than CVT, have high transmission efficiency, and provide quick acceleration. The structure of dry dual-clutch transmissions is relatively simple, with very low maintenance costs. When the vehicle reaches 100,000 to 150,000 kilometers, only a clutch replacement is needed. Disadvantages of dry dual-clutch transmission: Dry dual-clutch transmissions are prone to overheating and have poor wear resistance. If frequently driven in congested road conditions, the automatic transmission will frequently shift between first and second gears. Frequent clutch engagement can lead to increased heat in the clutch plates. During high summer temperatures, the engine and transmission temperatures can rise significantly, and poor heat dissipation combined with heavy-load driving can accelerate clutch wear.

Why does BMW air conditioning not cool in auto mode but works normally in manual mode?

BMW air conditioning not cooling in auto mode but working normally in manual mode is due to the following reasons: insufficient refrigerant in the air conditioning system; the refrigerant pressure switch detects low pressure or the pressure switch is faulty; the air conditioning compressor is faulty; the air conditioning function switch is faulty. How air conditioning works: The air conditioning system compresses gaseous refrigerant into high-temperature, high-pressure gas through the compressor, which then flows through the pipes into the condenser. In the condenser, the refrigerant is cooled and condensed into high-pressure liquid refrigerant through heat dissipation by the cooling fan. The high-pressure liquid refrigerant then enters the dryer reservoir through the pipes, where it undergoes a rapid state change, turning into low-temperature, low-pressure liquid refrigerant that enters the evaporator. In the evaporator, it absorbs heat from the air flowing through it, lowering the air temperature and blowing out cold air, thereby producing a cooling effect. Refrigerant working process: The refrigerant continuously circulates in the air conditioning system to produce a cooling effect; when the compressor stops working, the refrigerant in the air conditioning system stops flowing, and no cooling effect is produced.
