To adjust the seats in Qoros 5, press the adjustment button located on the side of the seat near the door. The Qoros 5 is a compact 5-door, 5-seat SUV with the following body dimensions: length 4600mm, width 1869mm, height 1658mm, and a wheelbase of 2710mm. It has a fuel tank capacity of 55 liters. The Qoros 5 is equipped with a 1.6T turbocharged engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering a maximum power of 145 kW and a maximum torque of 290 Nm. It features front-wheel drive, with a front suspension using MacPherson independent suspension and a rear suspension using multi-link independent suspension.

Adjusting the seats in the Qoros 5 is quite straightforward. After driving this car for three years, I've mastered all the basic operations. On the left side of the driver's seat, there are two manual adjustment levers: the long horizontal lever lifts up to slide the seat forward or backward for legroom, adjusting to a position where your feet naturally bend when pressing the pedals. The short vertical lever raises the seat when pushed up and lowers it when pressed down; setting it so there's about a fist's width between your head and the roof is ideal. On the right side, a large knob adjusts the backrest angle—turning it clockwise tilts the backrest forward, while counterclockwise reclines it. I prefer setting it around 110 degrees for lower back comfort. Each side of the headrest has a small button; pressing and lifting or pushing adjusts the height, with the best position being centered at the back of your head. Inside the seat, a lumbar support knob twists left or right to change the firmness, crucial for long drives. After adjustments, firmly sit a few times to ensure everything locks securely.

The design of the driver's seat adjustment mechanism in the Qoros 5 is quite practical. The manual adjustment version features control mechanisms on both sides of the seat: a metal lever at the lower outer side for front and back sliding, an inner lift lever for seat height adjustment, a rotary knob for backrest angle, and a lumbar support knob hidden in the inner seam. The high-end electric version is even more convenient, with a cross-key button set installed on the door panel or seat side—up arrow to raise the seat, down arrow to lower it, left and right arrows to adjust the front and rear distance, plus a separate knob for backrest angle. The headrests come with press-type adjustment buttons, allowing easy up-and-down sliding with a single press. All these adjustment points are positioned within natural arm's reach, enabling safe micro-adjustments while driving.

Seat adjustment is crucial for safety. Before driving the Qoros 5, I always follow these four steps: First, push the seat forward until my knees are bent at about 130 degrees, ensuring I can apply force to the brakes in an emergency. Next, adjust the backrest so that when my wrists rest on the top of the steering wheel, my shoulders and back are fully supported by the seat. Then, adjust the headrest so its midpoint aligns with the back of my head, protecting my neck in case of a rear-end collision. Finally, check if the seat is securely locked—if it wobbles when pushed forward, it’s not properly secured. Incorrect seating posture can lead to fatigue, especially during long highway drives where an unsupported lower back is most dangerous. The ideal position allows clear visibility of the dashboard while maintaining a safe distance to anticipate road conditions ahead—this is more important than anything else.

I remember spending quite some time figuring out how to adjust the Qoros 5 seats for the first time. There are three control components on the left side of the driver's seat: the fore-and-aft adjustment lever is hidden under the front edge of the seat—just lift it to slide; the backrest angle adjustment is a round dial on the side that requires a firm twist; and there's also a height adjustment handle on the outer side resembling a windshield wiper stalk. Both sides of the headrest have small buttons that need to be pressed simultaneously for adjustment. After a few weeks of driving, I got the hang of it, and now I can adjust it in three seconds: push the seat all the way forward, then slide back to my position, twist the angle dial half a turn, and raise the headrest to about two fingers' width above my shoulders. Every time I have friends of different heights riding with me, I always remind them to readjust the seat—it's too dangerous otherwise.

Adjustment Tips: The manual seats in the Qoros 5 require sequential adjustment. First, adjust the fore-and-aft position to ensure your right foot can fully depress the brake pedal. Then, rotate the backrest knob to a slightly reclined angle. Finally, adjust the height so your line of sight aligns with the upper part of the windshield's center line. Avoid setting the lumbar support too high, as it can compress the spine during long drives. The electric version features a misoperation-proof design—short presses adjust one level, while long presses enable rapid movement. If multiple family members share the vehicle, note the position markers or take photos for reference. After adjusting, test the pedal feel and steering wheel reach to maintain a 120-degree elbow bend for optimal comfort. In cold weather, mechanisms may stiffen; periodic WD-40 lubrication ensures smoother operation.
