After successfully enrolling in a driving school, you can schedule the subject one test in about 7-10 days. The time varies for different license types. Before scheduling, you should review the subject one study materials and practice test questions. Enrollment in a driving school is only preliminary. After enrollment, the driving school submits your information to the vehicle management office. Once approved, the office will issue a serial number, indicating successful enrollment. After enrollment, you can schedule the subject one test. According to the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses," subject one consists of 100 multiple-choice and true/false questions, each worth 1 point. If you answer 11 questions incorrectly during the test, the system will automatically submit the test and end the exam. Subject one test content includes: driving license and motor vehicle management regulations; road traffic conditions and rules; road traffic safety violations and penalties; road traffic accident handling regulations; basic knowledge of motor vehicles; local regulations; knowledge of braking systems and safety devices for large and medium-sized passenger and freight vehicles; specialized knowledge for wheeled self-propelled machinery, trams, and trolleybuses. Subject one test precautions: During the test, students should dress appropriately—no slippers allowed. Electronic devices and bags are not permitted in the exam room. Bring your ID card and queue to enter the waiting hall. Observe the instructions and procedures on the large screen. Before entering the exam room, store personal belongings in a locker. There is no limit to the number of times you can schedule the subject one test. Each subject can be taken once, with one retake if you fail. If you do not take the retake or fail it, the test ends, and you must reschedule. For subject two and subject three, there are only five attempts. Subject two and subject three tests can be scheduled ten days later. If you fail the subject three safety and civilized driving knowledge test, the previously passed road driving skills test results remain valid. The driving test consists of three subjects: subject one, subject two, and subject three. Subject one refers to the road traffic safety laws, regulations, and related knowledge test. Subject two refers to the field driving skills test. Subject three is divided into two parts: road driving skills and safety and civilized driving knowledge test. The safety and civilized driving knowledge test is conducted after subject three, so it is commonly referred to as subject four. However, in official terms (i.e., the Ministry of Public Security Order No. 123), there is no such thing as subject four.
