I just did this with my 2005 truck. Threw in a new touchscreen stereo with Apple CarPlay—best decision ever. It feels like a new truck without the new truck payment. The kit was made for my model, so it plugged right in. I’d say start there. Adding a backup camera at the same time was a no-brainer for parking. Anything more complicated than that, like fancy safety stuff, gets real expensive real fast.
