Sandals are allowed, but flip-flops are prohibited. The "Road Traffic Management Regulations" clearly stipulate that motor vehicle drivers are not permitted to drive while wearing flip-flops. In the event of an accident, if one driver is wearing flip-flops, even if that driver is not at fault for the entire incident, the accident liability will be borne by the other party, and the driver wearing flip-flops will still face penalties from traffic police for driving in flip-flops. If both parties are deemed responsible based on the accident circumstances, the driver wearing flip-flops will not only bear accident liability but also face additional penalties. Below are some potential hazards of wearing sandals while driving: 1. Delayed braking: In emergency situations requiring quick braking, wearing sandals may lead to delayed braking response. 2. Distracted driving: Wearing sandals may cause drivers to relax and become distracted, significantly increasing the likelihood of traffic accidents.

When I first started driving, I also thought sandals were cool and comfortable. But after decades of driving, I've seen too many accidents caused by inappropriate footwear. I remember once on the highway, a young man was driving in flip-flops. During an emergency brake, his sandal slipped off, resulting in a rear-end collision where everyone in the car got injured. Since then, I've been particularly careful about choosing driving shoes. Proper driving shoes should have a design that covers the instep to ensure no slipping when braking. Nowadays in summer, I wear breathable sports shoes or specialized driving shoes. They might not be as cool, but they can save lives. I advise fellow drivers not to prioritize temporary comfort—safety should always come first. If an accident happens, regret will come too late.

I have a good understanding of traffic rules. I remember my driving instructor mentioned during the license test that although there are no strict regulations on what shoes to wear, if an accident occurs due to inappropriate footwear, it might be considered as reckless driving. When driving in sandals, in case of an emergency requiring quick pedal switching, sandals may get tangled or slip off, increasing the risk of an accident. I usually opt for flat shoes or soft-soled sneakers when driving to ensure stable foot control. It's advisable to check local traffic laws to understand potential liabilities and avoid major losses for minor oversights.

As an ordinary office worker, I understand the convenience of driving in sandals, especially during hot summers. However, after trying it a few times, I felt quite uncomfortable as my feet tended to sweat and slip. From a safety perspective, designs with thick or soft soles are more reliable. I usually bring a pair of spare shoes specifically for driving and change back into sandals after getting out of the car. Spending a few extra minutes is worth it, after all, driving safety is far more important than short-term comfort.

Once I drove wearing flip-flops, and the shoes got stuck in the pedal gap when crossing an intersection, almost causing me to run a red light. It scared me out of my wits. Since then, I never wear sandals for driving and switched to well-enclosed canvas shoes. Every time I think about it, I feel a lingering fear. I suggest novice drivers not to take risks, as safe habits should be cultivated from small details.

From an automotive design perspective, maintaining close contact between the foot and pedals is crucial for precise control. Sandals, often featuring straps or open toes, can easily shift or slip during emergency braking, increasing the risk of losing control. Having tuned numerous vehicles, I frequently encounter foot-related accident cases, and my top recommendation is hard-soled flat shoes. Remember, never let footwear become a safety hazard.

What does SN represent in engine oil?

Engine oil SN represents the highest grade of engine oil, which generally falls under the category of fully synthetic oil. Below are the functions of engine oil: Lubrication and friction reduction: Forms an oil film on the surfaces of two sliding components to prevent friction during operation, ensuring smooth movement of parts. Cleaning and dispersion: High-quality engine oil can flush away dirt on component surfaces through oil flow, adsorb tiny metal fragments inside the engine, and then scrape them into the oil pan via the piston oil ring. Cooling and temperature reduction: The engine generates high temperatures during operation. When the oil reaches the operating parts, it absorbs heat and carries it away, aiding in the cooling of components. Sealing and leak prevention: Forms a seal between the piston ring and piston via an oil film to prevent combustion exhaust gases from entering the crankcase. Corrosion and rust prevention: High-quality engine oil adheres to component surfaces, preventing contact with air, acidic substances, and harmful gases, thus protecting the engine from corrosion by atmosphere and water. Shock absorption: When the pressure at the engine cylinder port increases suddenly, the load on the piston, piston ring, connecting rod, and crankshaft bearings becomes significant. This load is transmitted and lubricated through the bearings, cushioning the impact load.
