
It is not feasible to connect a double-acting cylinder with only one pipe, because the two pipes on the cylinder are designed for simultaneous operations: one pipe supplies oil to the rod-end chamber while the other returns oil from the non-rod-end chamber, or vice versa. The working principle of a double-acting hydraulic cylinder is as follows: 1. Power section: Converts the mechanical energy of the prime mover into the pressure energy (hydraulic energy) of the oil. Example: Hydraulic pump. 2. Actuating section: Converts the hydraulic energy input by the pump into mechanical energy to drive the working mechanism. Example: Hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic motor. 3. Control section: Used to control and regulate the pressure, flow rate, and direction of the oil. Example: Pressure control valve, flow control valve, and directional control valve. 4. Auxiliary section: Connects the above three parts to form a complete system, serving functions such as oil storage, filtration, measurement, and sealing. Example: Pipes and fittings, oil tank, filter, accumulator, seals, and control instruments.
