Cleaning your 3D printed denture base properly is essential for successful fabrication. Here's a recommended cleaning process, based on guidelines such as those provided by PacDent for Rodin Full and Partial Dentures: First, carefully remove any support structures from the printed base. Use compressed air or a paper towel to eliminate any loose resin or debris. Next, rinse the denture base in a 99% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) bath with agitation. It's recommended to transfer the base to a second IPA bath for another 5 minutes of cleaning, still using agitation. After washing, completely dry the denture base using compressed air. A properly cleaned base should have a matte finish. If any areas still appear shiny, indicating remaining resin, wash those spots again with fresh IPA and dry them with compressed air. Repeat this as necessary to ensure a uniformly matte surface. This process ensures your denture base is free of residue, ready for the next steps in finishing and assembly.
