To properly install the hose for bagging or leaf collection on your Cub Cadet riding mower, follow these steps, as detailed in the Cub Cadet 769-26435 Riding Mowers Instruction Manual supplement sheet:
Secure the Hose to the Upper Chute Support/Bag Vent: Thread the upper end of the hose into the upper chute support or bag vent, using the two tabs for a secure fit. Remember, both the hose and the upper chute support/bag vent are left-hand threaded.
Attach the Ring to the Hose End: Align the beginning of the hose ribbing with the ring window, which is located next to a molded dot. Thread the ring counterclockwise until it is securely fastened. Note: the hose and ring are left-hand threaded. If the ring does not thread easily, trim any excess material flush with the ribbing using scissors.
Connect the Hose to the Cutting Deck Boot: Lift the hose by the handles on the ring. Slide the hose over the boot on the cutting deck, referring to the manual for visual guidance.
Verify a Secure Connection: Ensure there are no gaps between the hose and the boot to establish a tight, efficient connection.
Close the Bagger Cover: Before mowing, always make sure the bagger cover is closed. This is essential for safe and effective operation.
