If your Hama outdoor sensor base station and measuring station aren't connecting after inserting batteries, here's how to troubleshoot: First, bring both devices close together. Ensure the batteries are correctly inserted in both units, paying close attention to the polarity. The base station should automatically search for the measuring station and begin setup, which takes around two minutes. If the connection fails, manually initiate the search function on the base station. During the connection attempt, the radio symbol on the base station will flash; avoid pressing any buttons to ensure proper data transmission. Successful connection is indicated by the indoor and outdoor measurement data appearing on the base station display. The base station automatically updates measurements every 45 seconds. If the temperature readings are outside the sensor's range, you'll see "--.- " on the display. Make sure both devices are on the same channel; adjust the channel on the measuring station using the CH1, CH2, or CH3 switch.
