To successfully install the MeTra 99-7414 dash kit in your Sentra, carefully follow these steps for dashboard disassembly and kit assembly. Dashboard Disassembly: Begin by opening the storage compartment above the radio and gently pulling on the lip to remove the compartment and AC vent assembly. Next, unclip and remove the trim panel located around the pocket beneath the climate control. Now, unscrew the four screws securing the radio, climate control, and pocket assembly—two are located on top, and two on the bottom—then unplug and remove the entire assembly. Remove the two screws holding the climate control trim panel to the factory brackets. Then, remove the four screws that secure the radio to the factory brackets. Detach the radio and climate control trim panel from the pocket/climate control assembly. Finally, unsnap and remove the climate control trim panel from the radio. Kit Assembly: Start by removing the metal DIN sleeve and trim ring from your aftermarket radio. Slide the radio between the factory pocket/climate control assembly, which you removed earlier, and secure the radio using the screws provided with the radio. Snap the factory climate control trim panel and the radio trim panel together. Place the assembled unit onto the front of the radio, climate control, and pocket assembly, and fasten the two assemblies together with the screws removed during disassembly. Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector within the dash and make all necessary connections to the radio and climate controls. Reconnect the negative battery terminal and verify that the radio functions correctly. Finally, reassemble the dash, reversing the disassembly steps.
