Setting the clock on your Sangean WR-2 Wooden Cabinet Digital Tuning Radio is straightforward. You can choose between manual and automatic time setting methods. Here's how:
Manual Clock Setting:
- Press the Menu button on the radio.
- The display will show "CLOCK SET". Use the Tuning control to enter the clock setting mode.
- Rotate the Tuning control to select the desired hour, then press the Tuning control to confirm. The minute digits will start flashing.
- Rotate the Tuning control to adjust the minutes and press the Tuning control to confirm. The clock is now set.
Automatic Clock Setting (using RDS):
- Tune to a radio station that broadcasts Radio Data System (RDS) data. This feature is mainly available in Europe, the UK, parts of North America, and some Asian countries.
- Press the Menu button.
- Rotate the Tuning control until a clock symbol appears on the display, then press the Tuning control to enter the setting.
- Rotate the Tuning control until "RDS CT" (or "RBDS CT" in the US) appears on the display, and then press the Tuning control to confirm.
- The Sangean WR-2 will automatically set the time based on the RDS data. An RDS icon will show on the display to confirm the time is synchronized.
If you prefer to set the clock manually after attempting RDS, follow these steps:
- Press the Menu button on the radio.
- Rotate the Tuning control until a clock symbol appears on the left side of the display, and then press the Tuning control to enter the setting.
- Rotate the Tuning control until "MANUAL" appears on the display, and then press the Tuning control to select the manual setting.
- Follow the steps described in the "Manual Clock Setting" section above.
Ensure the clock is set correctly before setting any alarms or timers on your Sangean WR-2 radio.
