To ensure your NAKANISHI NR-4040 Spindle functions correctly, follow these steps for proper installation and connection to the motor: First, clean your hands and all interlocking parts of both the spindle and motor to prevent contamination. When connecting, hold both components vertically. Align the threads on the motor's front end with the spindle's rear end, and then rotate the spindle clockwise until the drive shaft engages. Use the provided 36mm wrench to fully tighten the spindle to the motor. To change tools: Use a 17mm wrench on the spindle and a 22mm wrench on the chuck nut to loosen and remove the tool. Clean both the collet chuck and chuck nut before inserting the new tool and tightening the chuck clockwise. For replacing the collet chuck: Remove the tool and chuck nut assembly. Release the collet chuck by pushing it diagonally down. Insert the new collet chuck into the chuck nut, making sure the latch engages with the groove. Finally, when installing the spindle itself, avoid any shocks or impacts. Mount it within the clamping area marked on the spindle. When tightening the securing bolt of the Split Type Holder, avoid over-tightening to protect the spindle's precision. Following these steps ensures your NAKANISHI NR-4040 Spindle operates safely and efficiently.
