Installation:
- Power off your Snapmaker Original and unplug all cables.
- Allow the machine to cool completely if it was recently in use.
- Disconnect the Filament Holder, the X-Axis (with the 3D Printing Module attached), and the Controller.
- Remove the existing Z-Axis and carefully attach the Z-Axis Extension Module in its place.
- Reattach the Filament Holder to the Z-Axis Extension Module, then connect the X-Axis and Controller.
- Reconnect all the cables that were unplugged in Step 1.
Configuration in Snapmaker Luban:
- Ensure your Snapmaker Original's firmware is updated to version 2.11 or later and install Snapmaker Luban software on your computer.
- Connect your computer to the Snapmaker Original using the provided USB cable and power on the machine.
- Open Snapmaker Luban and go to the Workspace section in the left sidebar.
- Click on Connection, refresh the serial ports list, select the serial port corresponding to your Snapmaker machine, and click Connect.
- When prompted, choose "Custom" and select the connected toolhead.
- Navigate to Machine Settings under the Settings tab. Enter the following values for the build volume dimensions: X: 125, Y: 125, Z: 221.
- Under "Z axis Extension Module", select "On" from the drop-down menu and click "Save Changes".
- Use the touchscreen controls on your Snapmaker Original to home the axes and level the Heated Bed following the steps outlined in the Quick Start Guide.
