If your Keurig K-Elite coffee maker isn't brewing efficiently or your coffee doesn't taste its best, it likely needs descaling. Here's how to descale your Keurig K-Elite brewer: First, empty the water reservoir and remove any Keurig Water Filter. Then, pour a full bottle of Keurig Descaling Solution into the water reservoir, followed by a full reservoir of water. Turn the brewer on. Place a large mug on the drip tray. Initiate a rinsing brew cycle by using the hot water button and selecting the largest brew size, without a K-Cup pod. Repeat this brew cycle until the "add water" light comes on. Allow the brewer to sit for at least 30 minutes while powered on. After 30 minutes, discard any remaining solution from the water reservoir and rinse the reservoir thoroughly. Fill the reservoir with fresh water to the MAX fill line. Run another rinsing brew using the largest brew size into a mug and discard the contents. Repeat this brewing process, using the largest brew size, for at least 12 cycles, refilling the water reservoir as needed. Once complete, your Keurig K-Elite coffee maker should be descaled and ready to brew. For optimal performance, it's recommended to descale your Keurig K-Elite every 3-6 months.
