
To properly connect your satellite and terrestrial TV signals to a TERRA MV908L, MV912L, or MV916L Multiswitch and ensure optimal performance, follow these steps: First, for satellite TV signals, connect the IF signals to the inputs as indicated on the multiswitch label, ensuring proper access. Use the gain controls for each satellite line to equalize the average signal level from the satellites, aiming for a balanced signal. Second, for terrestrial TV signals, connect them to the designated input on the multiswitch. Adjust the terrestrial TV signal level using the control near the input, making sure the maximal level does not exceed the specifications to avoid interference. Subscribers will have permanent access to the terrestrial TV line, while access to satellite TV lines is controlled by analog control signals or DiSEqC signals from the receiver via the RF cable. Analog control signals include 14V/18V for polarization, 0 kHz/22 kHz for band selection, and a 22 kHz tone burst for satellite selection. Without a DiSEqC signal or tone burst, only satellite A will be accessible. Finally, power the multiswitch using a stabilized +18V power supply. Ensure all cables are correctly connected before connecting the power supply to prevent damage. An external 18V power supply connected to the rear side connector "AUX 18V" can be used in the absence of a central power supply in smaller networks.
