Proper blade alignment is crucial for your Wahl clippers to perform effectively after cleaning. Here's how to realign them: First, consult diagram G in your Wahl clipper's instruction manual to see if adjustment is needed. If your clipper has a taper lever, move it to the closest cut position. The top blade's teeth should be about 1/32 inch (0.64 mm) behind the bottom blade. Ensure the far-left tooth of the top blade is either covering or left of the first small bottom blade tooth. The far-right top blade tooth should touch the big bottom blade tooth. If adjustment is required, apply a few drops of Wahl clipper oil. Run the clipper briefly, then turn it off and unplug it. Slightly loosen the screws, adjust the blades according to the steps above, and tighten the screws once aligned. For a visual guide, refer to diagram I in your instruction manual. Remember, other than the blades, your Wahl clippers do not have user-serviceable parts.
