Installing a JENNAIR 585 or 1170 CFM Internal Blower involves several steps to ensure optimal performance. Here's a guide to help you through the process:
-
Preparing for Installation:
- Start by removing the grease filters from your range hood.
- Attach the motor support bracket using three 4.2 x 8 mm screws. Position the bracket inside the top or back of the hood, towards the left side.
- Note for specific models such as KVWC956KSS and KVWC958KSS: You may need to remove screws from the back of the infrared lamps and the crossbar before proceeding.
-
Mounting the Blower Motor:
- Carefully install the range hood blower motor assembly inside the hood's canopy. Ensure the wiring connection is on the left side for single-motor systems and towards the front or top for dual-motor systems.
- Slide the left mounting plate flange under the motor mounting bracket.
- Route the power supply wires and connector through the hole located at the right end of the motor mounting plate.
- Align the mounting holes on the motor mounting plate with the motor mounting clip nuts. Secure the motor in place using the appropriate screws and lock washers.
-
Finalizing the Installation:
- Connect the power cord connector from your range hood to the connector on the wiring box.
- For specific models, replace the crossbar to its original position.
- Reattach any components or filters you may have disconnected earlier.
