Connecting your zappi EV charger to your home network allows for remote control and monitoring via the myenergi app or web portal. Here's how to do it:
- Wireless Connectivity: zappi uses an 868MHz / 915MHz wireless link to communicate. Ensure your zappi is within a suitable range for a stable connection.
- Wired and Wireless Options: zappi models with a built-in vHub offer both Ethernet (RJ45 port) and WiFi connectivity. Ensure your zappi is powered on and ready for setup.
- Connecting via WiFi: In the zappi settings menu, locate the WiFi connection option. Follow the on-screen prompts to scan for available networks, select your home network, and enter your WiFi password.
- Connecting via Ethernet: If you prefer a wired connection, plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the RJ45 port on your zappi and the other end into a port on your home router or network switch.
- Network Confirmation: After connecting, your zappi should automatically obtain an IP address from your router. Verify the network status in the zappi settings to confirm a successful connection.
- Remote Management: Once connected, use the myenergi app or web portal to remotely manage and monitor your zappi. Log in to your myenergi account to access features and settings. If you experience any setup difficulties, consult the zappi installation manual for further guidance.
