The GLADEN CR-SQ 2 Way Splitter allows you to fine-tune your car audio system's sound by adjusting crossover settings. These settings determine which frequencies are sent to your speakers, optimizing audio quality. Here's how to adjust the crossover settings:
-
Adjusting the Woofer Cut-Off Slope and Frequency:
- Locate the Jumper at MB on the device.
- To prevent the midrange from being cut off from the high end, place the golden bridge inside the 0 dB connector.
- To reduce a loud high midrange section, place the golden bridge inside the 6 dB connector. This cuts the midrange with a 6 dB/octave slope to the high end.
- For further reduction of the high midrange, place the golden bridge inside the 12 dB connector. This cuts the midrange with a 12 dB/octave slope to the high end.
-
Adjusting the Tweeter Level:
- Locate the Jumpers labeled I+, I-, M+, M-, H+, H- on the device.
- Adjust the tweeter level by moving the jumper:
- 0 dB: No adjustment.
- -3 dB: Lowers the tweeter level by 3 decibels.
- -6 dB: Lowers the tweeter level by 6 decibels.
For proper installation and usage, always refer to the CR-SQ Mounting Instructions and CR-SQ User Manual. Remember to listen responsibly, as excessive volume can cause hearing damage.
