Setting up your TP-Link TL-WR902AC AC750 Wi-Fi travel router in Router Mode while you travel is straightforward. Follow these steps:
- Mode Selection: Ensure the Mode Switch on the router is set to "Share ETH".
- Hardware Connections: Make sure you have connected all the necessary hardware components as required.
- 3G/4G USB Modem (Optional): If you're using a 3G/4G USB modem with a SIM/UIM card, plug the modem into the 3G/4G USB port on the router. This will enable the router to share the 3G/4G signal via Wi-Fi.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Connect your device (laptop, smartphone, etc.) to the router's Wi-Fi network. You can find the default SSID (network name) and Wireless Password on the label located on the back of the router.
- Check Internet LED: Observe the Internet LED on the router. If it's lit, you have a successful internet connection and can proceed to Step 11.
- Access Router Interface: Open a web browser on your connected device and enter "http://tplinkwifi.net" in the address bar.
- Create Login Credentials: You will be prompted to create a password for accessing the router's web interface. Set up a secure password.
- Quick Setup: Click "Next" to start the Quick Setup process. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure your internet connection.
- WAN Connection Type: If you are uncertain about your WAN Connection Type, utilize the "Auto Detect" feature during the setup for assistance.
- Customize Wi-Fi Settings: During the Quick Setup, you have the option to customize your Wireless Network Name (SSID) and Password for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks. Remember to reconnect your wireless devices to the newly configured Wi-Fi network(s) after making changes.
- Enjoy the Internet: Once the setup is complete, connect your devices to the router's Wi-Fi network and enjoy internet access. In Router Mode, the WAN/LAN port on the router functions as the WAN port.
