To ensure accurate measurements, regular calibration of your MasterPlane-Laser 3G is essential. Here's a straightforward guide to checking and adjusting its calibration:
-
Preparing for Calibration Check:
- Place the device midway between two walls, at least 5 meters apart.
- Turn the MasterPlane-Laser 3G on to display the laser cross.
- Mark point A1 on one wall.
- Rotate the device 180 degrees and mark point A2 on the opposite wall to establish a horizontal reference.
-
Performing the Calibration Check:
- Position the MasterPlane-Laser 3G near the wall at the height of point A1.
- Rotate the device 180 degrees and mark point A3 on the wall.
- Measure the difference between points A2 and A3; this is your tolerance.
- If the difference between A2 and A3 exceeds 0.2 mm/m, an adjustment is needed.
-
Checking the Vertical Line:
- Position the MasterPlane-Laser 3G approximately 5 meters from a wall.
- Hang a plumb bob with a 2.5-meter line on the wall.
- Activate the device and align the vertical laser with the plumb line.
- The deviation between the laser line and the plumb line should not be more than ±2 mm.
-
Checking the Horizontal Line:
- Place the MasterPlane-Laser 3G about 5 meters from a wall and turn on the cross laser.
- Mark point B on the wall.
- Shift the laser cross about 2.5 meters to the right and mark point C.
- Verify that the horizontal line from point C aligns with point B within ±2 mm. Repeat the process by turning the laser to the left.
-
Maintenance Tips:
- Clean all components using a damp cloth only; avoid using cleaning agents, scouring agents, or solvents.
- Always remove the battery before storing the device for extended periods.
- Store the MasterPlane-Laser 3G in a clean, dry location.
-
Calibration Frequency:
- For optimal accuracy, it's recommended to calibrate your MasterPlane-Laser 3G annually.
