To zero the particle count sensor on your REED R9930 Air Particle Counter, follow these steps: First, unscrew and remove the particle sensor cap. Next, attach the Zero count filter. Then, power on the meter and enter Setup mode. After that, configure the Sample mode to Cumulative and ensure all channels are selected for Channel Display. Set the Sample Time to 60 seconds and the Sample Cycle to 10. Press the RUN/STOP button to activate the air pump and begin the zeroing process. Allow the meter to run until all particle counts read zero; this may require multiple runs. Finally, turn the meter OFF, remove the Zero count filter, and reattach the particle sensor cap. This zeroing procedure is crucial for maintaining accurate readings, especially after use in environments with high particle counts, as it purges the sensor before and after each measurement.
