
To adjust the outlet pressure on your Watts W-M115 Pressure Reducing Valve, follow these steps: First, isolate the valve by closing both the upstream and downstream valves to prevent any flow. Next, relieve the spring tension on the Pressure Reducing Control by turning the adjustment mechanism counterclockwise. Then, open any isolation ball valves. If your valve has adjustable speed controls, turn the needle(s) in (clockwise) until seated, then back them out (counterclockwise) 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 turns. For startup, slowly open the upstream isolation valve. Vent trapped air by loosening the control tubing or pipe plug at the highest point. If there is a Position Indicator, open the Air Bleed Petcock to vent air. Then, gradually turn the adjustment mechanism on the Pressure Reducing Control clockwise to increase the downstream pressure, allowing the system to stabilize. Observe the inlet and outlet pressure gauges, adjusting as needed, and pause approximately every 1-1/2 turns for stabilization. Turning the adjustment mechanism clockwise increases the outlet pressure, while turning it counterclockwise decreases it. Once the desired pressure is reached, tighten the locknut on the adjustment mechanism. Finally, fine-tune the speed controls if your model has them. Adjust the Closing Speed Control clockwise for slower closure and counterclockwise for faster closure. Adjust the Opening Speed Control clockwise for slower opening and counterclockwise for faster opening.
