To successfully install your Fastenal FAST Bin System devices, follow these steps for each component:

IR Bin Installation:
- Remove the battery insulation pull tab.
- Position the Bin within 50 feet (15.2 meters) of the nearest Controller or Repeater.

RFID Enclosure Installation:
- Assemble the RFID enclosure according to the provided instructions.
- Place the enclosure on top of the Bin rack and connect the power cable.
- Ensure the enclosure is placed on particle board on top of the racking or shelf.
- Make sure the enclosure is within 500 feet (152.4 meters) of the nearest Controller.
- Confirm the communications diagnostic light on the enclosure is lit, indicating a connection.

Repeater Installation:
- Install the Repeater per the guidelines in Appendix A of the user manual.
- The Repeater should be within 500 feet (152.4 meters) of the Controller.
- Plug the power cable into a standard wall power outlet.
- Verify the LEDs indicate the device is connected.

Controller Installation:
- Configure the Controller:
- For DHCP Ethernet sites, no special network setup is necessary.
- For static IP address sites, contact Fastenal support for network configuration assistance.
- Plug the power cable into a standard wall power outlet.
- Confirm the Controller has a network connection, indicated by the network connection LED.
