For daily of Baojun engines, the following methods can be used: Use lubricating oil of appropriate quality grade. For gasoline engines, choose SD--SF grade gasoline engine oil based on the additional devices in the intake and exhaust systems and usage conditions; for diesel engines, select CB--CD grade diesel engine oil according to mechanical load, with the selection standard not lower than the manufacturer's requirements; Regularly change the oil and oil filter. The quality of any grade of lubricating oil will change during use. After a certain mileage, performance deteriorates, causing various problems for the engine. To avoid failures, change the oil regularly based on usage conditions and maintain an appropriate oil level; When oil passes through the fine pores of the filter, solid particles and viscous substances in the oil accumulate in the filter. If the filter is clogged and oil cannot pass through the filter element, the filter element may burst or the safety valve may open, allowing oil to bypass through the bypass valve, bringing contaminants back to the lubrication area, accelerating engine wear and increasing internal pollution; Regularly clean the crankcase. During engine operation, high-pressure unburned gases, acids, moisture, sulfur, and nitrogen oxides from the combustion chamber enter the crankcase through the gap between the piston rings and cylinder walls, mixing with metal powder from component wear to form sludge. A small amount remains suspended in the oil, while a large amount precipitates, clogging filters and oil holes, making engine lubrication difficult and causing wear; Regularly use radiator cleaner to clean the radiator. Removing rust and scale not only ensures the engine operates normally but also extends the overall lifespan of the radiator and engine.

The Baojun engine is truly made in China, with the brand backed by SAIC-GM-Wuling, a genuine domestic enterprise! Its main production base is located in Liuzhou, Guangxi, where there is a complete engine manufacturing plant. Initially, it did utilize some General Motors technologies, such as the L2B engine, which shares its origins with the Excelle, but the production lines are all domestic. Later, the independently developed 1.5L and 1.5T engines were entirely self-designed, with factory equipment consisting of precision machine tools imported from Germany. I've seen the assembly line in the workshop—fully automated assembly with quality inspection standards on par with joint-venture brands. Domestic engines have made significant progress in recent years, with thermal efficiency and NVH performance rivaling foreign counterparts.

I work in automobile manufacturing. Baojun engines are 100% made in China. The core production base is located at Liuzhou West River Plant, where everything from cylinder block stamping to final assembly is completed within the same industrial park. From an industrial perspective, Baojun engines have achieved over 95% localization rate. The Liuzhou engine plant commenced production as early as 2012, with its latest production line boasting 97% automation rate, rolling out one engine every 110 seconds. Although the technology was initially derived from General Motors, even core technologies like direct fuel injection and turbocharging are now independently developed. During my visit, I witnessed them using 3D printing for prototype testing, with R&D cycles twice as fast as overseas counterparts. Made in China is truly more than just a slogan.

My Baojun 530 has been running for five years, and the engine cover says 'Manufactured by SAIC-GM-Wuling.' The technician mentioned that the parts supply chain is entirely domestic—the crankshaft comes from Guangxi Yuchai, the fuel injection system uses United Electronic, and even the oil filter is from Bengbu Jinwei. Domestic parts are both affordable and durable; last time I changed the spark plugs, it only cost 80 yuan. In terms of technology, the 1.5T engine delivers 250 Nm of torque with a fuel consumption of just 6.7L, which is more than enough for daily use.
