I noticed many Tiggo 3x owners are searching for this heating switch. Look closely at the center console near the driver's side—there's a rectangular button with wavy lines on the air conditioning control panel, right? That's the integrated heating switch for both the rearview mirror and rear windshield, combined with the defogging function. Remember to press it a few minutes before driving in rainy weather for better effectiveness. This integrated design actually saves space well, though beginners might easily overlook it. Also, a reminder: in northern winters, this function can quickly melt thin ice on the mirrors, much safer than wiping by hand.

After driving for ten years, I can find the rearview mirror heating button of the Tiggo 3x with my eyes closed. It's the same button shared with the rear window defroster, located on the right side of the air conditioning panel. The icon is a square with three curved arrows, and the indicator light will turn on when pressed. Note that it only works after the engine is started; pressing it while the engine is off will drain the battery. Last winter, when I helped a neighbor defrost their new car, I realized that many models under 150,000 yuan now design the heating function this way, which seems to be a common cost-saving solution.

Last time I drove my friend's Tiggo 3x in heavy rain, I fumbled around and found the heating switch. Next to the air conditioning knob, there are two square buttons—the one on the right with the heat symbol is it. After pressing it, the water droplets on the mirror evaporate in about five minutes. Interestingly, I discovered that the car's mirror heating and rear defogger are linked and cannot be activated separately. If the rear window has a dark tint film, the heating efficiency might be slightly reduced.

Directly tell you the location: Look for it among the row of buttons below the temperature knob on the driver's side air conditioning panel. The one with the square wave icon. I'm used to turning it on in advance on rainy days, which is much safer than wiping the mirrors while driving. By the way, here's a little trick: If there are stubborn water stains on the mirrors, turn on the heating and spray some windshield washer fluid with the wipers, and the effect will be immediate.

My Tiggo 3x is the 2019 model, where the rearview mirror heating and rear window defogger share the second button on the left. After activation, remember to check the dashboard for any power indication, as I once encountered a blown fuse that caused the heating function to fail. This integrated switch design is quite common in compact SUVs, though its drawback is that activating the mirror heating in winter simultaneously turns on the rear window defrosting, which consumes a significant amount of power.
