The older model POLO does not have an interior button to open the fuel tank cap. Simply unlock the central locking system and press the fuel tank cap to open it. For the newer model POLO, the fuel tank cap control button is located on the left side below the steering wheel on the dashboard. From left to right, the first lever is the trunk control button, and the second lever is the fuel tank cap control button. More details are as follows: 1. The new-generation Polo features a more streamlined design, with an immediate impression of a shift towards sportiness. The raised lines on the engine hood and the waistline further emphasize a rugged style. The front fascia incorporates larger and sleeker headlights with built-in LED lighting and wavy daytime running lights. The dual-grille design on the front bumper is innovative, complemented by a chrome-accented grille, giving the front end a clean yet well-layered appearance despite its simplicity. 2. After meticulous redesigning of the body lines and details, the car presents a more spirited and lively exterior, completely shedding the slightly cute and naive demeanor of the current model. 3. In terms of dimensions, the new-generation Polo measures 4053/1751/1446mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2564mm. Compared to the current model, the wheelbase has been increased by 94mm, and the trunk space has been expanded from 280L to 351L. 4. The rear features sharp lines, with LED-lit taillights retaining a familiar design. The dual single-exhaust-style decorative elements and the black rear diffuser add a significant sporty feel to the rear end.

I drove a Volkswagen Polo recently, and its fuel tank cap switch is really hidden on the inner side of the door panel next to the driver's seat, usually near the leg area of the seat. There's a small pull ring or lever—just pull it to open. I remember being completely confused the first time I needed to refuel, circling the car for ages before a friend pointed out its inconspicuous location. You can only open it by pulling after unlocking the car; otherwise, it won’t respond. If it doesn’t budge, it might be stuck or not fully unlocked—try relocking and unlocking the car again. Before refueling, make sure the car is parked securely to prevent accidents. Also, the position is similar in older and newer Polo models, though newer versions might integrate it more into the center console. Don’t worry—just open the door to check, and it’s easy to handle. If the switch gets rusty or breaks, a quick fix is to visit a repair shop for some lubricant spray. Regular maintenance includes keeping dust and dirt from accumulating too much, and always check if the cap is tightly sealed after refueling to avoid air leaks.

What Are the Basic Car Maintenance Items?

Basic car maintenance items include five fluids, three filters, and tires. Below is a detailed introduction to the basic car maintenance items: 1. Engine Oil: Engine oil serves to lubricate, cool, dampen vibrations, and reduce wear in the engine. Changing the engine oil is the most fundamental car maintenance task. Mineral oil should be changed every 5,000 kilometers or 6 months; semi-synthetic oil typically needs replacement every 8,000-10,000 kilometers; while full-synthetic oil is usually changed every 10,000-12,000 kilometers. 2. Three Filters: The three filters in a car refer to the oil filter, air filter, and cabin air filter. The oil filter should be replaced every time the engine oil is changed. The air filter cleans the air entering the engine and should be replaced every year or 10,000 kilometers, depending on driving conditions. 3. Transmission Fluid: Transmission fluid lubricates the transmission to extend its lifespan. It is generally divided into manual transmission fluid and automatic transmission fluid. Manual transmission fluid is typically changed every 2 years or 60,000 kilometers, while automatic transmission fluid is usually replaced every 60,000-120,000 kilometers. 4. Brake Fluid: Brake fluid is essential for the braking system and should be changed every 2 years or 40,000 kilometers. 5. Battery: The lifespan of a car battery depends on daily usage habits. Generally, a battery can last over 3 years. After two years, the battery voltage should be checked regularly. 6. Tires: The typical lifespan of tires is three years or 80,000 kilometers.

How to Test an Oil Pressure Sensor?

Remove the oil pressure sensor. Screw the hose connector of the oil pressure gauge into the threaded hole where the oil pressure sensor was installed, and tighten the connector. Place the oil pressure gauge in a location where it will not come into contact with rotating engine components or high-temperature parts. Check for oil leaks at the oil pressure gauge connector. If there is any leakage, turn off the engine and retighten the connector. Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature, then check the readings on the oil pressure gauge at both idle and 2000 r/min, comparing them with the standard pressure values.

How to Judge the Left and Right Distance When Meeting Another Car?

You can judge by the fixed reference points on the car. When the midpoint of the left rearview mirror is aligned with the left sideline, the distance between the car and the sideline is 1.5 meters. When the white line is at the halfway point of the right side of the engine hood, the distance between the car and the right sideline is 30 centimeters. When the distance between the car and an obstacle vehicle is 20 centimeters, the lowest point of the obstacle vehicle visible in the field of view is at 80 centimeters.
