NIO cars are produced at the NIO Hefei factory. Here is some related information about NIO: 1. NIO cars are produced in Hefei, China. It has global R&D and manufacturing operations with a worldwide presence, but its production base is located in Hefei, China; 2. NIO was founded in China in 2014. Currently, its overall R&D and manufacturing operations are spread globally. NIO's headquarters and global mass-production vehicles are located in Shanghai, China. The NIO electric drive system manufacturing base and test production line are in Nanjing, China. The NIO global autonomous driving R&D center is in San Jose, and the global design center is in North America. However, its production base is located at the Hefei factory in China, so NIO cars are produced in Hefei, China.

I've researched NIO's manufacturing layout and can share some insights as a new energy vehicle enthusiast. NIO's main production base is in Hefei, where they initially collaborated with JAC Motors for contract manufacturing before directly acquiring the JAC factory to operate themselves. They've also built a massive new facility called NeoPark in Hefei, specifically for producing premium models like the ET5. According to my findings, the Hefei plant accounts for over 80% of NIO's total production capacity, with complete vehicle manufacturing primarily concentrated in Anhui province. However, they do have a factory in Hungary, but that's for manufacturing battery swap equipment, while Nanjing mainly focuses on R&D and design.

Friends who follow new energy vehicle manufacturing should know that NIO's production layout is quite interesting. The core production bases are concentrated in Hefei, especially the NeoPark in Xinqiao, which boasts a high level of automation. The latest models ET5 and ET7 are both produced at this base, with a new car rolling off the line every 90 seconds. In earlier years, NIO relied on JAC for contract manufacturing, but later acquired the Hefei factory outright. They also have a global presence, with their Hungary factory producing battery swap station components, though complete vehicle manufacturing remains entirely domestic. There are rumors of a new plant being planned in Beijing's Yizhuang, but currently, most deliveries are from Hefei-made vehicles.

Recently, while helping a friend choose a car, I specifically researched NIO's production locations. The main production base is located in Hefei, more precisely in the Economic Development Zone, where you can see a massive factory area when driving by. Previously, it was JAC that handled the contract manufacturing, but after NIO took over independently last year, production capacity has significantly improved. Different models are produced at different locations—the ES series is manufactured at the Economic Development Zone factory, while the new ET models are all produced at the NeoPark production base in Xinqiao. Shanghai has a design center but doesn’t involve production, and Nanjing focuses on battery technology R&D. All vehicles leaving the factory have "Hefei Manufacturing" labeled on their nameplates, making it a new calling card for Anhui.

From a supply chain perspective, NIO's production is quite interesting. The entire vehicle manufacturing process is completed in Hefei, divided across two bases: the Economic Development Zone factory produces the ES series, while the NeoPark facility in Xinqiao manufactures the ET series. Their battery packs are assembled in Nanjing and then transported to Hefei, with vehicle controllers sourced from suppliers in Suzhou. Despite establishing seven R&D centers globally, production lines remain exclusively in China, with overseas orders also being manufactured in Hefei for export. It's said they've set up an R&D center in Germany, but the manufacturing process has consistently stayed within the Hefei base.

We locals in Hefei all know where the NIO factory is located. The area in the Economic Development Zone used to be JAC's factory site, and now it bears the NIO logo. During the morning and evening rush hours, you can see car carriers queuing up to transport new vehicles out of the factory, which is quite a spectacular scene. The newly built electric vehicle industrial park in Xinqiao is more modern, producing stylish models like the ET5. As residents, we feel proud to see the factory area expanding, as it has boosted the surrounding catering and rental markets. Although NIO promotes globalization, the actual production lines are all in our Hefei. Even the cars exported to Europe are locally manufactured and shipped from here.

What is the best position to install ETC on a vehicle?

ETC is best installed in the upper middle part of the front windshield for small vehicles such as cars and minivans; for large vehicles like trucks and buses, the lower middle part is optimal. The installation height for ETC should be no less than 1.2 meters and no more than 2.5 meters. Before installing ETC, clean the front windshield to ensure the surface is smooth, clean, and dry. Then peel off the adhesive backing of the OBU and attach it to the front windshield, pressing firmly for 2 to 3 minutes to remove any air bubbles. Unauthorized removal or movement of the OBU device, a dead battery in the OBU, or the ETC electronic tag falling off or becoming loose may cause the ETC electronic tag to fail. In such cases, you can take the ETC device to the bank where the ETC card was issued or to a highway service center for testing and reactivation.

How to Locate the Fuel Filter in Mercedes-Benz GLA?

The fuel filter is located near the fuel tank at the rear underside of the vehicle, and the model number of the fuel filter is GLA45. Below is relevant information about Mercedes-Benz fuel filters: 1. The filter element of the fuel filter mostly uses filter paper, and some fuel filters use nylon cloth or polymer materials. The main function is to filter out impurities in the gasoline. 2. The role of the fuel filter is to remove water and impurities from the gasoline. Below is relevant information about replacing the filter: 1. First, remove the vehicle key and disconnect the fuel pump fuse or the vehicle power supply to prevent the fuel pump from pumping out gasoline during disassembly. 2. Next, remove the rear seat cushion and the cover on the fuel pump, at which point you can see the fuel pump assembly. 3. The fuel pump assembly is secured by a black retaining ring. After disconnecting the wiring harness and fuel lines on the fuel pump, a special tool is required to remove this retaining ring. 4. After removing the retaining ring, the fuel pump assembly can be taken out. Replace the corresponding components of the old fuel filter with the new fuel filter assembly.

How to Determine Brake Fluid?

Brake fluid can be seen on the exterior of the reservoir, which has markings. If the brake fluid is depleted, the brake warning light on the dashboard will illuminate. Here is relevant information about brake fluid: Methods for selecting brake fluid: 1. First, since the seals in the braking system are rubber components, prolonged immersion in brake fluid can cause chemical changes. 2. Second is the high-temperature performance, which refers to the brake fluid's ability to resist vapor lock at high temperatures. This is evaluated using the "equilibrium reflux point" metric. 3. Third is the low-temperature performance of the brake fluid, which refers to its flow characteristics at low temperatures. This is assessed by measuring the kinematic viscosity of the brake fluid at 40°C. If the viscosity is too high at this temperature, it can affect the transmission of braking force. 4. Fourth, since many components in the automotive braking system are made of metal, high-quality brake fluid should contain various anti-corrosion additives to prevent corrosion of the braking system.

Is Tire Shine Harmful to Tires?

Tire shine is not harmful to tires. Tire shine, also known as tire dressing, helps maintain long-lasting cleanliness of tires, and qualified tire shine products are harmless to tires. The functions of tires include: 1. Supporting the entire weight of the vehicle, bearing the load of the car, and transmitting forces and moments in other directions; 2. Transmitting traction and braking torque, ensuring good adhesion between the wheels and the road surface to improve the vehicle's power performance, braking performance, and passability; 3. Preventing severe vibrations and premature damage to automotive components, adapting to the high-speed performance of the vehicle while reducing driving noise, ensuring driving safety, handling stability, comfort, and energy efficiency.
