
The coolant is located in the coolant reservoir, a translucent plastic tank under your car's hood. It's usually on one side of the engine bay and has a hose connecting it to the radiator. The tank is marked with "Full" (or "Max") and "Low" (or "Min") lines, allowing you to check the level at a glance without opening the pressurized radiator cap.
Important Safety Note: Only check the coolant level when the engine is completely cool. The cooling system is under high pressure when hot; opening the radiator cap can cause severe burns from erupting steam and hot coolant.

To top it up, simply twist the cap on the reservoir (not the radiator) and add a 50/50 mix of the correct type of antifreeze and water until it reaches the "Full" line.

Pop the hood and look for a plastic tank with a hose coming out of it, off to the side of the engine. It's see-through, so you can check the colored liquid inside. There will be lines on the side showing the minimum and maximum levels. Just make sure the car hasn't been running for a while before you touch anything—that stuff gets crazy hot.
