Car insurance must include compulsory traffic insurance, third-party liability insurance, vehicle damage insurance, theft insurance, passenger liability insurance, scratch insurance, spontaneous combustion insurance, and water damage insurance. Compulsory traffic insurance is a mandatory insurance in China and is a type of coverage that all vehicles must purchase. Relevant information about compulsory traffic insurance is as follows: Introduction: The full name of compulsory traffic insurance is Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident Liability Compulsory Insurance. It is a mandatory liability insurance where the insurance company compensates for personal injury, death, and property damage (excluding the vehicle's occupants and the insured) caused by the insured motor vehicle in a road traffic accident within the liability limits. When I first bought my car, I was also struggling with what car insurance to get, but the sales guy cleared it up for me. The compulsory traffic insurance required by the state is a must-have as it provides basic coverage. Among the commercial insurance options, it's recommended to prioritize third-party liability insurance—with so many luxury cars on the road these days, I went straight for 2 million in coverage. You should also get vehicle damage insurance to cover repairs for your own car in case of scratches or dents. Passenger liability insurance is another good one to have, especially when driving with family or friends for peace of mind. I skipped theft insurance but added separate glass breakage coverage since highway driving can lead to chips from flying stones. For new cars, it's advisable to get comprehensive coverage, while older cars can skip some of the options.

I've been driving for ten years, and there's really no need to buy a full set of car insurance. Compulsory traffic insurance is a must-have with no alternative. For commercial insurance, I only buy two types: third-party liability insurance with a coverage of 2 million to handle the risk of hitting luxury cars, and vehicle damage insurance to cover the repair costs of my own car. As for seat insurance, I only bought it for the driver's seat since I'm usually the only one driving. Fancy insurances like scratch insurance and spontaneous combustion insurance are unnecessary—practicality is what matters most. Remember to get sufficient coverage for third-party liability insurance; nowadays, the average coverage starts at 1.5 million.

What is SUV Tire Pressure?

According to the provisions and requirements of the international GBT2978-2008 standard, the tire pressure for different SUV tires is as follows: Standard tires: 2.4-2.5bar; Reinforced tires: 2.8-2.9bar; Maximum pressure: should not exceed 3.5bar. Tire pressure, strictly speaking, refers to the air pressure inside the tire. Normal tire pressure in winter: In winter, the tire pressure should be based on the standard tire pressure of the car tire, with an appropriate increase of about 0.2bar. Normal tire pressure in summer: Generally, the lower limit of the standard tire pressure for car tires is sufficient. For example, the lower limit for standard tires is 2.4bar. If the car is often parked outdoors, the tire pressure can generally be about 0.1bar lower than the standard to avoid tire blowouts due to high temperatures.

Is it necessary to replace the valve cover on a BMW?

It is necessary to replace the valve cover on a BMW. If the valve cover of a BMW car shows signs of oil leakage, it must be replaced immediately. Precautions for replacing the valve cover: Clean the contact surface thoroughly: When replacing, first completely clean the contact surface of the valve cover. Then, apply sealant based on the owner's preference. Replace after the engine cools down: When replacing, the car engine must be completely cooled before the valve cover can be replaced. Tighten the valve cover multiple times during installation: When installing the valve cover, tighten it diagonally in multiple passes. After securing one screw, secure the screw on the opposite diagonal. This prevents uneven stress on the valve cover gasket. If the valve cover is leaking oil, it must be replaced promptly. Within the warranty period, the valve cover can be replaced free of charge.

Can Gear Oil Be Used as a Substitute for Engine Oil?

Gear oil cannot be used as a substitute for engine oil, as it can cause various malfunctions in the combustion chamber. When gear oil is used in place of engine oil and mixes with fuel gasoline to enter the combustion chamber, the fuel evaporates and burns, while some of the gear oil is also burned along with the fuel. If gear oil is used instead of engine oil, its higher viscosity and different composition compared to specialized engine oil can lead to the formation of deposits in the combustion chamber, resulting in issues such as spark plug carbon buildup, bridging, and failure to ignite. Additionally, the extreme pressure properties of gear oil can cause corrosive wear. Automotive gear oil is designed for use in gear transmission components such as transmissions, steering gears, and differentials, where it serves a lubricating function. It helps reduce wear on gears and other moving parts, extending their lifespan; decreases friction, minimizing power loss; and disperses heat, providing a certain cooling effect while preventing corrosion and rust. It also reduces operational noise, mitigates vibration and impact between gears, and helps flush away contaminants, particularly those on gear surfaces, thereby reducing wear.

Does a car registered in July 2013 require an annual inspection in 2021?

If the vehicle underwent its last annual inspection before the new policy implementation on November 20, 2020, it will require an inspection in 2021; if the inspection was conducted after November 20, 2020, it will not need an inspection in 2021. Here is relevant knowledge about vehicle annual inspections: Annual inspections for private cars over 10 years old: For private cars that have been in use for more than 10 years, the inspection cycle still follows the original regulations, i.e., an annual inspection is required for cars between 10 to 15 years old, and a semi-annual inspection for cars over 15 years old. Annual inspection precautions: Large decorative stickers on the car body or large eye-catching car club logos are considered unauthorized modifications to the vehicle's appearance and will not pass the annual inspection.

What is the fuel consumption of the Roewe RX5?

Roewe RX5 manual transmission models have a fuel consumption of 6.5 liters per 100 kilometers, while automatic transmission models consume 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers. The following is a related introduction to fuel consumption: Fuel consumption per 100 kilometers: This refers to the fuel consumption of a vehicle traveling a certain distance at a specified speed on the road. It is a theoretical indicator of the vehicle. The fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is measured by the manufacturer in an objective environment, using a dynamometer installed on the vehicle's chassis to obtain speed parameters, and then calculating the theoretical experimental fuel consumption data for the model at specified speeds. Road condition fuel consumption: Road condition fuel consumption (Fuel-Economy-of-Chassis-Dynamometer-Test-Cycles) is a fuel indicator calculated by repeatedly testing the values obtained when a vehicle travels on specified roads at specified speeds and times, also known as multi-condition road cycle fuel consumption. The specification stipulates that each cycle includes various driving conditions and records driving conditions according to various indicators such as specified shift times, parking times, driving speeds, acceleration, braking, and deceleration in each cycle. The measured values obtained by this method are closer to actual values.
