Honestly, nine times out of ten it's something simple you left on. I've done it myself—come out to the car in the morning and seen that little dome light glowing because the door wasn't shut all the way. It doesn't take long for that to kill it. The other big one is just an old battery. If it's more than four years old, especially if you live somewhere with real winters, it's probably just tired and needs replacing. Always check the easy stuff first before you panic.
