Jetta is difficult to start for the following reasons: 1. Excessive carbon buildup in components such as the throttle body, idle speed motor, or intake manifold. Excessive carbon deposits and dirt in the intake manifold alter the cross-sectional area of the air passage, preventing the control unit from precisely regulating the idle air intake. This results in an overly rich or lean air-fuel mixture, causing abnormal combustion or engine shaking after startup, and even failure to start. 2. Minor leakage from the fuel injector, allowing fuel to seep into the combustion chamber for a period after the vehicle is turned off. This leads to an overly rich mixture upon restart, ultimately making it difficult to start. 3. Damage to the activated charcoal canister. If the solenoid valve remains open, the air-fuel mixture in the engine's intake manifold remains overly enriched, causing difficulty in starting when the engine is hot due to an excessively rich mixture.
