Multi-function steering wheel left side is the cruise control, voice control and phone function buttons. How to cancel cruise control: Press CNL to cancel cruise control, 0/1 to turn off cruise control, then press RES to resume cruise. Set button: The cruise control function does not start immediately after turning on the switch. The SET key is the setting button, press it to adjust the desired speed. (Note: It can only be activated at speeds above 30km/h). Silver buttons: The silver buttons are used to control speed value adjustments, left/right respectively control speed decrease/increase.

I've been driving the Volkswagen Lavida for over three years now, and its multifunction steering wheel design is truly thoughtful. The row of buttons on the left mainly controls volume adjustment – the up and down buttons increase or decrease the volume, while the center button mutes the audio or answers phone calls. When a call comes in while driving, just press it to answer without having to look away at the phone. The right section handles media control: the up button switches audio sources, like from FM to Bluetooth music, and the left and right buttons skip to the previous or next track. If the model comes with cruise control, the buttons at the bottom can also set the speed and other functions. In short, all functions are accessible right on the steering wheel, so your hands never need to leave it, and your eyes can stay on the road. It's especially helpful for long drives, reducing fatigue, and occasionally allows you to tweak settings to your preference. It's perfect for commuters like me who spend a lot of time on the road.

Driving the Lavida, I feel the steering wheel buttons are the safest. The three buttons on the left—volume up, volume down, and mute—allow for easy adjustments without interrupting music or calls. On the right, there's a media switch button; a long press searches for radio channels, while a short press changes the playback source, plus song selection buttons. This keeps your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, minimizing distractions for greater peace of mind. I remember once on a rainy day on the elevated highway, using these buttons to answer a call helped avoid danger. I recommend new owners practice and get used to them—safe driving has no shortcuts. Among compact cars, this design is quite user-friendly.

The Lavida's steering wheel buttons are simple and practical: on the left are volume control buttons for adjusting volume up/down and muting; on the right are media switching and song control buttons, allowing you to change radio stations or music sources. Operation only requires a light tap of the finger, avoiding the safety hazard of looking down at the center console screen.

I love the buttons on the right side of the Lavida's steering wheel—the music controls are so smooth. The song skip button instantly switches to the next track, and the media key easily toggles between FM and Bluetooth. Paired with volume adjustment, it feels like having a personal DJ on the go, with no interruptions while driving. Occasionally, a long press even allows for custom functions—both practical and fun.

After driving the Lavida for several years, I've become very familiar with the steering wheel buttons: the left side controls the volume and phone functions, while the right side is for switching media or radio stations. Before driving, I always check the button responsiveness—if there's no lag, everything's fine. Regular cleaning of the steering wheel helps prevent grease from sticking to the buttons, ensuring long-term durability. If a button stops working, it's usually a contact issue; you can try cleaning it yourself, but for more complex repairs, it's best to visit a workshop.

What Causes Severe Jerking in a Car?

Severe jerking in a car may be caused by the following issues: 1. Power supply system: Spark plugs or ignition coils. If the high-voltage spark is weak, causing intermittent poor engine performance, it can result in jerking. 2. Fuel system: Fuel injectors. If the fuel injectors have carbon buildup, minor blockages, or poor atomization, it can easily lead to abnormal fuel injection and cause jerking. 3. Transmission: Impacts, jerking, or gear hunting are usually caused by a damaged valve body or dirty transmission fluid with internal impurities. Especially when dirt and impurities accumulate inside the valve body, blocking the pipelines, it can prevent effective regulation of oil pressure, leading to jerking, impacts, or slippage. Whether it's an automatic or manual transmission, if the engine mounts or transmission mounts are damaged, they won't provide cushioning when releasing the throttle, causing jerking. 4. Throttle: If the throttle is not cleaned for a long time, excessive carbon buildup can alter the throttle opening angle, resulting in jerking when releasing the throttle.

However, this may vary depending on the brand and engine, so it's recommended to follow the user manual. Platinum spark plugs should be replaced at 40,000 kilometers, ordinary nickel alloy spark plugs at 20,000 kilometers, and iridium spark plugs at 60,000 to 80,000 kilometers.

Will I be penalized for changing a flat tire myself on the highway?

Changing a flat tire yourself on the highway will not result in penalty points, as long as it does not obstruct normal traffic flow. Emergency handling for a flat tire on the highway: When a rear tire bursts, the driver should stay calm, firmly grip the steering wheel with both hands, strive to keep the vehicle moving straight, and decelerate to a stop. If a front tire bursts, the driver should also firmly grip the steering wheel with both hands, ease off the accelerator pedal, and strive to maintain straight-line driving. A front tire blowout is more dangerous, so the driver must make every effort to control the steering wheel and quickly shift to a lower gear. Procedures after a flat tire on the highway: If a vehicle experiences a flat tire on the highway, the driver should immediately turn on the hazard warning lights, check for vehicles behind, and place a triangular warning sign at least 150 meters behind the vehicle. In windy conditions, use a heavy object to secure the warning sign to prevent it from being blown over. Call the emergency number for assistance and also contact your insurance company for support.

Can I Pass the Annual Inspection After Changing Rims in 2021?

You can pass the annual inspection, but it must comply with traffic regulations. The size and specifications of the new rims must match those of the original factory rims, although the style can be changed. Additionally, after the modification, you should register the changes with the vehicle management office within 10 days. Failure to do so may result in penalties from traffic police if caught driving without registration. Below are the manufacturing processes for rims: 1. Forging: Forged rims are generally much more expensive than cast ones. They offer superior strength and lighter weight compared to cast rims, making them the preferred choice for high-performance cars or racing vehicles. Forged rims are divided into gravity forging and low-pressure forging. Rims produced through low-pressure forging have high strength and can feature relatively complex designs. 2. Casting: Cast rims are very simple to produce, using machines to press a single piece of metal into a rough rim blank. They tend to have simpler designs and are more affordable. 3. Flow Forming (Spin Casting): This method uses rotational centrifugal force and machine pressure to manufacture rims. Rims made with this process are lightweight and have high strength.

Which brand does the 17-inch tire of the Haoying belong to?

The 17-inch tire of the Haoying belongs to the Michelin brand. Michelin tires have advantages such as strong grip, comfortable ride, and softer tread. Precautions for tire usage: The car's tires, including the spare tire, must be checked regularly every month. During inspection, observe the surface of the car's tires for any cracks or scratches. It is best to wear gloves and reach inside the tire to check for any suspicious marks. If any suspicious signs are found, immediately have a detailed inspection done by a car service. Replace any problematic tires promptly. If abnormal wear is noticed on the tire surface, it may indicate an issue with the wheel alignment, which should be repaired. Precautions for tire replacement: The replacement cycle for tires should be determined based on their condition. Tires should be replaced as soon as possible if the following conditions occur to avoid accidents: the tread pattern on the tire surface is completely worn out; the tire sidewall has sustained damage due to impacts; the tire surface has developed pinholes and started leaking air; the tire frequently loses air for unknown reasons; although there are no major damages, the tire has been patched multiple times and has too many injuries, requiring immediate replacement.
