Recently, Myauto learned from official channels that the 2021 T03 will be newly launched at the Shanghai Auto Show. It will introduce two models: the Comfort Edition and the Luxury Edition. Together with the previously launched Light Enjoy Edition, the 2021 Leapmotor T03 will have a total of three models. More details are as follows: 1. More powerful performance: In addition, the 2021 Leapmotor T03 will also introduce a Performance Edition model. Compared to the standard version with 55 kW, the Performance Edition will feature an 80 kW motor, delivering stronger performance. 2. Upgraded configurations: Besides the increased motor power, the Performance Edition will also see upgrades in configurations, including: a rear door switch, 6.6 kW OBC, and one-touch up/down with anti-pinch function for all four doors. Additionally, a two-tone body color option will be available.

The 2021 T03 has undergone quite noticeable changes. The exterior received minor upgrades, such as the addition of several vibrant colors like sky blue and orange-red, and a more rounded and smooth front fascia design, making the car look more stylish. Inside, the seat materials have been replaced with softer fabrics, and the central control screen has been slightly enlarged, making operation much more convenient. Driving on city roads, the overall noise control feels better, creating a more comfortable cabin atmosphere. These design adjustments make it more aligned with the aesthetic preferences of young people and provide a more enjoyable driving experience, suitable for daily commutes or outings with friends. Additionally, the tires and wheels have undergone some styling changes, offering better grip and more stable driving in rainy conditions.

Technically, the 2021 T03's key improvements focus on battery range and smart features. The driving range has increased from over 300 km to approximately 403 km, thanks to an optimized battery management system, making long-distance travel less worrisome. The new system also supports OTA wireless updates, enabling remote control of air conditioning or door locking, with a more responsive voice assistant that allows simple voice commands to adjust temperature or navigate. There's little change in power performance, but the motor tuning is smoother, providing gentler and quieter acceleration from a standstill. These technological upgrades make the compact electric vehicle more convenient and practical, adapting to modern lifestyles while offering greater peace of mind during use.

From a daily usage perspective, the 2021 T03 has enhanced its practical features. The space remains largely unchanged, but additional storage compartments have been added, making it easier to place items like phones or coffee cups. The seat materials have become more breathable and comfortable, reducing back fatigue during long drives. The air conditioning system responds much faster, allowing quick adjustments in both hot and cold weather. The price remains budget-friendly with good value for money, and the basic configuration is sufficient for family use. The overall driving experience is more relaxed, suitable for urban commuting or weekend short trips, with low maintenance costs, making it ideal for budget-conscious users.

From a safety perspective, the changes in the 2021 T03 are quite pragmatic. It has added basic driving assistance features such as lane departure warning and automatic emergency braking, which are helpful for both novice and experienced drivers. The body structure appears to be more robust, enhancing crash protection, and the standard multiple airbags provide more comprehensive coverage. These systems can promptly alert drivers to risks in rainy conditions, reducing accidents. The headlight design has also been slightly adjusted for better nighttime visibility. Overall, the safety upgrades make it more reliable and instill greater confidence while driving.

From a market perspective, the 2021 T03's updates align closely with industry trends. Compared to the 2020 model, its range has increased to over 400 kilometers, offering better value for money and giving it an edge over competitors like the BYD Dolphin. Minor upgrades to the interior and smart features reflect consumer demands, earning generally more positive user reviews. These subtle refinements enhance its competitiveness in the compact EV segment, maintaining affordability while optimizing details—ideal for first-time EV buyers. These changes demonstrate the brand's responsiveness to feedback, improved reliability, and heightened overall appeal.
