Is the Volkswagen Tharu from FAW or SAIC?

Volkswagen Tharu is from SAIC Volkswagen. The Volkswagen Tharu is a compact 5-door, 5-seater SUV with body dimensions of: length 4453mm, width 1841mm, height 1632mm, and a wheelbase of 2680mm. It features front-wheel drive, with a front suspension using MacPherson independent suspension and a rear suspension using multi-link independent suspension. The Volkswagen Tharu is equipped with a 1.4T turbocharged engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering a maximum power of 110 kW at 5000 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm between 1750 to 3000 rpm.
A couple of days ago when my neighbor bought a Tharu, I did some research too. This car is the offspring of SAIC Volkswagen and has nothing to do with FAW. But it's indeed easy to get confused, especially since FAW has models like the Tayron and Talagon, which also have 'Yue' in their names. From a branding perspective, SAIC's cars are particularly common in East China—many of the Volkswagen SUVs you see on East China highways are from them. By the way, the Tharu and SAIC's Tiguan L actually share the same platform, but the Tharu is more compact in size and more affordably priced, focusing on practicality for urban commuting.
